AI and the American Smile
A really good critique of AI images. The training data is on photos of modern Americans, who have a certain cultural conditioning for photographs. This is not universal, and doesn’t apply to many other cultures particularly historical cultures. So when MidJourney is asked to create pictures of historical cultures they look like Americans playing dress up.
I believe this sort of bias will produce similar errors in other domains. Which might make AI quite poor at creating authentic non-western non-modern images. There was a Twitter thread about an AI fantasy kimono, where all the errors were pointed out. Including the use of a white undergarment only used to dress corpses.

Now online! 'Hello Deep Learning'. Videos & fancy demos weren't helping me understand what was really going on, so I wrote this. Starting from a blank slate, this series develops & explains a modern neural network solution that reads handwritten letters: https://berthub.eu/articles/posts…

In April 1953, #FBI produced a report on Soviet Intelligence Travel & Entry Techniques.
Fully declassified by #CIA#CIA1999, the report is still a relevant read 70 years after its production. I provide Table of Contents below.

AlienFox cloud token stealing toolkit
This tooling is exactly what you target with canary tokens. An automated tool that scrapes known locations for known information and then uses it is the ideal target for Canarytokens. You know that attackers will find them because you put them where attackers look.
